Rome

Servilia asks her bisexual girlfriend, Octavia to seduce her brother and find out Caesar's dirty secret from him. When Octavia hesitates, Servilia reveals that Octavia's mother was responsible for her husband's murder.

What is the Roman word for taboo?

Saat Samundar Paar ki Khabarein

Times of India finally changed its web portal after ages. However, I don't see how the new look is better than the older version. The content continues to be tabloidish. They could very well have called it Bombay Times. The only reason I visit the site is for the e-paper feature which quickly transports you back to your living room sofa in Bombay at around 8:30 am every morning. I can almost smell the dosas and piping hot kapi. They have recently started flashing a threatening 'currently free' sign with claims that future subscriptions will be Rs 50 a month. I won't mind paying but I am sure there will be a much higher priced (read $$$) NRI equivalent. For pure news content, I like the Indian Express portal. For a quick view of top stories of the day, Rediff is pretty good too. Rediff has an Indian version and an India Abroad version which makes you question whether you still consider yourself a part of India or someone outside looking in. NDTV is also worth a mention especially for its subscription offer of live streaming video content. No day is complete without the Mid-day Picture of the day section to remind me of roads traveled in the past. Everything else about Mid-day sucks. Khalid Mohammed had briefly moved to Mid-day so you could read his reviews only in the Mid-day columnists section. He has wisely stepped away. All current Mid-day columnists suck except Rajdeep Sardesai who deserves to write someplace better. Indian Express has really good columnists except Rajeev Shukla who sucks and should be replaced by Rajdeep Sardesai. By the way, I really miss watching Sonia Verma read the evening news on NDTV.

Dumbofast!

I found the real reason for yesterday's drunken stupor...Tylenol Nightime cough syrup taken at 9:00 am in the morning...no wonder I was acting like a zombie. I take my words back Dr. Meswani. Your remedies are always deadly concoctions though.

I wouldn't really blame myself for the error. Unlike Nyquill (red) and Dayquill (orange) Tylenol doesn't distinguish its packaging between Nightime (blue) and Daytime (blue). As usual, health issues can always be blamed on US pharmaceutical giants.

Junkies, mix some Recofast Plus with Tylenol Nightime.

Druncofast!

If you want to feel totally drunk without any alcohol try Recofast Plus. My family doc sent me this prescription from India. It showed up on the prohibited list for athletes in India. That probably doesn't mean anything but I feel like shit.

Junkies, contact Dr. Rajul Meswani and ask for medication for a cold.

'World' Series

So, the White Sox won the first game in the World Series. How myopic does your view of the world have to be to consider a league played by two countries (three at best if you really stretch your imagination and include the Japs) to be representative of the world?

How poetic is it that the country is led by a jackass who looks at the rest of the world through a similarly myopic Hubble telescope without bothering to first read the training manual?

Extreme Makeover: Mumbai Local Edition

Cushioned seats in Second Class ?!?!?! Whoa!

Metrosexual pink seats in First Class

No more 'Yaar, aage kaunsa station hai?'. No more 'Station kis side aayega?' either.

This is what it looks like from outside.

This is what it will look like when it is deployed
